BEER MAKING WORKSHOP
Learn how to brew beer in the SRC’s first ever beer brewing class
Once-a-week for 4 weeks.
We will brew two classic styles of beer and each participant will receive a 6-pack at the end of each style with personalized beer labels to impress your family and friends.
Week 1 – Brew the first batch, pitch yeast to begin fermentation process. Orientation to home-brewing craft beer and ingredients. (90 minutes)
Week 2 – Brew the second batch, pitch yeast to begin fermentation process. Transfer first batch to secondary fermenter. Design your beer labels. (90 minutes)
Week 3 – Bottle & Label first batch. Transfer second batch to secondary fermenter. (60 minutes)
Week 4 – Bottle & Label second batch. Take home 2 six-packs of delicious home brew in time for Spring. (60 minutes)
Catherine Segal has been a home brewer for over 20 years and will bring all supplies to make two 5 gallon batches of craft beer. While we watch the wort boil we will cover home-brewing basics and why this hobby is enjoyed by people across the USA.
